This is the most authentic New Mexican food you can find. It's like home cooking with excellent service. The whole place gives you good vibes and an at home relaxing atmosphere. They also have additional goodies at the front checkout. Their hours are only for breakfast and lunch closing at 3pm.

Good for family dinning! The sunroom/indoor patio area is private and spacious. Worked well for our big family with kids. Fast service and good food. My in laws didn't love the menudo, but they're picky ones. Pay up front on your way out.

Oh my goodness. Love Barelas! The staff is super friendly. The food is amazing. My huevos rancheros deluxe hit the spot. The freshly made flour tortillas were soooo good.

When I hear coffee house, the mind goes to various types of coffee and pastry - not Mexican food. Yet, here we are. Yes, coffee is served here. But it's full of other non-caffeinated offerings. The building is obviously a relic - that adds to the charm. There are a lot of nooks & crannies with places to sit. Present are the typical NM dishes - burritos, tacos, enchiladas, carne adovado, and soups. Lots to choose from so it's the Combo Plate - huge burrito, taco and hidden somewhere in between a cheese enchilada. Carne Adovada for my partner in crime. Food came out quick and hot, with a couple of thick flour tortillas (not a fan I prefer thin). In typical NM fashion we got a lot of food. Spicy but not over done. We stopped early saving room for a Frontier Cinnamon. Unfortunately (or maybe not) they were sold out. Great lunch and glad we stopped

Amazing at always, seriously a classic and my go to for huevos rancheros. I love when I go and the patio is open because it's always nice to enjoy a piping hot plate of huevos rancheros deluxe and coffee out in the fresh air. They have misters on when it's a little warmer too.

This is a New Mexico staple. I've been living here for a long time and never made it here until today. Very glad I did! It's a seat yourself, vintage, local, and authentic space. The service is incredibly fast and they pump the food out in minutes. It's constantly busy and now we know why. I ordered their famous huevos rancheros deluxe. I am a huevos fanatic so I had to try because some places make really bad huevos. This place was VERY competitive. Everything was so delicious and paired so well with each other. The beans however had minimal flavor and didn't really taste like much on their own. They paired very well with everything else though. Obviously the sizes of the dishes are huge and the prices are fairly low. I'm definitely coming back and trying more things!
